something so vague, it might not mean anything.

A man and a woman say their grace down the spirals in their lobster bisque.
And complained about their self-alienation.

anyone else but you

In the light of the Jamie-Lynn Spears accident, there's nothing as current and appropriate as Juno. Like Little Miss Sunshine, it is a pleasant and understated film against serious heavyweights this year.Perhaps too early to pass judgment, but I found greater meaning in this than the melodramatic Atonement. They should stop awarding aging actresses who gave seriously profound performances too often, as it gets too predictable sometimes. Give it to Ellen Page, for the poise, humour and certain vulnerability she displayed in the title character. Michael Cera is endearing. The rest of the supporting cast fit really well. Jason Bateman, a little forgettable. Kimya Dawson's music reminds me of The Magnetic Fields' in Pieces of April, just as folksy, captivating and essential. Watch it for love, and happiness.

"You're the coolest person I've ever met, and you don't even have to try."

receding hairlines.expanding waistlines.the powerful hainanese.

Yes, day one this year is probably the best in the last, say five to eight years.
Not only economically in the form of red packets, but having had the presence of countless aunts and perhaps many rather, (still)wooden cousins is in fact surreal due to missing them out in the past years, plus the early departure from home really help set the day well.

Time, or space or diet hasn't been kind to some.

And I am quite sure some of the maids that the families brought along with them got more red packets than I did.

Little known fact: I'm related to Billy K. and has seen him every year. But I believe he never knew who I was. And yes his hairline changed through the years.

man with the razor

Probably the bloodiest (graphically) Tim Burton film. The lack for sympathy for all characters might just be, a little disturbing for some. But it is an adaptation after all.Sasha Baron Cohen's appearances drew giggles in the theatre.Helena Bonham Carter absolutely steals the show, even from Johnny Depp. Was expecting a little more though, besides the rather, lacklustre ending. Yes, don't expect it to be bittersweet.
