anyone else but you
In the light of the Jamie-Lynn Spears accident, there's nothing as current and appropriate as Juno. Like Little Miss Sunshine, it is a pleasant and understated film against serious heavyweights this year.Perhaps too early to pass judgment, but I found greater meaning in this than the melodramatic Atonement. They should stop awarding aging actresses who gave seriously profound performances too often, as it gets too predictable sometimes. Give it to Ellen Page, for the poise, humour and certain vulnerability she displayed in the title character. Michael Cera is endearing. The rest of the supporting cast fit really well. Jason Bateman, a little forgettable. Kimya Dawson's music reminds me of The Magnetic Fields' in Pieces of April, just as folksy, captivating and essential. Watch it for love, and happiness."You're the coolest person I've ever met, and you don't even have to try."
